Default CD Manual is MIA

I give ships an attack command and the targets go sailing by. In the absence of the manual, how do you attack targets (ships, planets, etc.)

Several things could be wrong...

1. If you are using cloaking devices, decloak your ships.

2. Click on the order command that says attack, then click on the ship. Keep in mind, if the enemy ships are too far away and it leaves the area, your ship will not reach it unless you know where it is going

3. Look for your CD Manual in the SpaceEmpires IV folder. Oddly the CD manual is stored on your HD. Thus defeating the point of calling it a CD Manual.

Ok found the manual thanks. In the galaxy window is where I click on attack on the ship order window and then click on the target ship/planet.

Ships and fleets do not attack if they have any ministers on. It's a bug.

Once, it took me a long time to figure out -- I used to have the resupply minister on because I hate it when the ships run out of fuel. The resupply minister makes a good job here, and I used to turn it on for all fleets by default. I don't do it any more because of this bug.
