Some good maps.... may inspire a scenario in conjunction with the Venola map tool

Re: something of interest
And along the same subject do any of you map makers or scenario designers think a " scrubby desert" terrain set would be useful/worthwhile?

Re: something of interest
That's just a simulation..part of the template I would use to build the added tiles......*IF* I do add this for next year ( too late for this year ) it will likely be tacked on as an extension to the normal desert " flats".....
\
The idea I have is it I will add maybe a dozen+ tiles with the scrub grass into back end of the standard desert set then extend the number of tiles the code uses to search for tiles to place so normal desert maps would start to see a bit more of this from time to time but there would be a second control that would just access those " scrubby" tiles so they could be edited into a map manually and only those ones would show up when placed. This would mean they would not show up on slopes but its a minor issue

Re: something of interest
There is a better way to do this than as an extension to the sand set and that is build them just like the trees are..with invisible backgound which is what I will be working on after the new patch goes out the door. As a " tree " type they can be applied over slopes and on ALL other terrains ( grass, grey sand, red sand, red rough sand.....the list is long...they just could not be used in the same hex as trees or orchards but that is hardly a problem
then this could be simulated
or this

Re: something of interest
Sounds good as a thought and do not know if practical you could free up 2 buttons by putting rarely used pavement all under 1 button. Press 1 2 3 to select type.
