GsW 736 (e)
This is one of the best German self propelled artillery units in the game on account of it having 40 rounds of ammo compared to the Wespe which has 30. It also has better armor than the Wespe. I find it somewhat surprising that a converted bren carrier should have more ammo than a Wespe, though I admit I have little knowledge about the GsW 736 (e).

Re: GsW 736 (e)
Wasn't it based on a Vickers Mark IV not a carrier?

Re: GsW 736 (e)
Quite possibly. I always assumed from the looks it was based on a bren carrier, but the track arrangement of the Vickers look very similar. As I said, I know very little about it. Still even based on a Vickers Mark IV it would seem hard to cram 40 rounds of 105 mm into it.

Re: GsW 736 (e)
It was and it looks like the armour is a bit high....probably copied from another unit then the stats were not fully adjusted

no idea where the ammo load came from. The end date is too late as well so enjoy it while you can..it's no longer a wunderwaffe now

Re: GsW 736 (e)
some nice pictures looking inside on the Tank encyclopaedia site (DRG's link above) - looks like 18(15?) rounds in the bin on the floor and 10(?) each side, so 40 seems about right.
hehe - noticed they only made 6 according to that site!

It's a two piece round so betting the charges are on the side and the shell down the middle but without a full overhead shot I can only guess the number carried and right now I'm going to guess 24.
And yes there were only 6 and they only lasted until April 1942 and that has been adjusted as well

Re: GsW 736 (e)
I am trying to find the ammo load now. The photos I have seen show a row 3 shells wide but IDK how much deep under the breach but it seems they were mated with tracked ammo carriers when deployed
I'm going to guess 24

Re: GsW 736 (e)
Lots of interesting info and pictures in that link DRG. While we are at it, in many of the pictures there is an MG34 on an AA mount. In game it currently has no MG.

Re: GsW 736 (e)
24 rounds seems about right, considering that the ammo storage of the considerably larger FCM 36(f) is given as 36 in the same source.

Re: GsW 736 (e)
A number of things have changed for that unit since finding this source..Service dates, speed, armour, ammo load, secondary armament and cost
