How does this stuff working and what is this about ?

i found some lines in settings.

Number Of Population Modifiers := 12
Pop Modifier 1 Population Amount := 99
Pop Modifier 1 Production Modifier Percent := 100
Pop Modifier 1 SY Rate Modifier Percent := 100
Pop Modifier 2 Population Amount := 499

Arf, look at my yesterday's thread "comments and rumblings from a new player", the highest authorities here discussed just that point

In a nutshell, each set of 3 lines says :
Line 1 = nr of pop for following effect to occur
line 2 = % modifier of resources prod for that nr of pop
line 3 = % modifier for Startyards construction rate for that nr of pop
At first the count of modifier is given to the program.
So in unmodded game there are 12 "levels", with 0-99 M people giving 100%/100% modifier, and 10 B+ pop giving 200%/200%

These numbers are highly unrealistic-looking, and are modified in some mods, say Proportions

thats why i like these game because of the community one little question more :-)
how is it working for billion ? ( dont really now what these is in german )
100 M = 1B ?
1000 M = 1B ?

Well, for me 1 Billion = 1000 M, but well I'm French so in fact 1000 M is a "Milliard" ... What do Englishmen think of that ?

Just about all British ppl study a few years of basic French, so we are all aware that you have a crazy numbering system:

"sixty eight, sixty nine, sixty ten, sixty eleven..."

"sixty-eighteen, sixty-nineteen, four-twenty. Four-twenty-one, Four-twenty-two..."
