Default Issue with creating new weapons...

I've made a few new toys for my game, and the AI was working well with them...

Today I created a line of ships that used nanite technology to repair themselves and thier armor during combat. After all was done there, I tested it and it seemed fine.

Then I run the game for real and the Terrans were using a SAM missile I designed specifically for Weapon Platforms on planets for everything they had: Ships, Satellites, Platforms... The weapon is clearly set for platforms only, is in a different family from the Cruise missiles the Terrans usually use, and had worked fine until today.

I've tried undoing everything I've done short of removing the SAM missiles, and even with all original settings, the terrans persist in using them.

I doubt its the Terran AI using them, as the AI has not been touched by me, and is as-is from the install. They are NOT in any build menu for any ship, satellite, etc.. that I can make, nor are they there when I assume control of the terrans.

Can anyone let me know why this isn't working... or at least give me a hint of where to start to fix this?

My first guess is that you changed the Component Family number, but not the Weapon Family number.

You are correct sir!

I just went back and was filtering through what I could change and pulled an entirely new weapon family out of my arse and went through all the AI's design files and changed just weapon platforms to use the new missiles if they were using the old ones.
