Default Bug in 1.84 Gold?

Just started a new game using Fyron Quadrant Mod and TDM. Have used this before with no problems. Several turns in completed first research project with ship construciton. Working on projectile weapons and military science.

It researches normally... and then. It is 1 turn away from completing military science and doesn't finish it. Instead it says 0.0 turns to completion the status bar is 1 slot from full and it is researching projectile weapons normally. Keeps going until finishing Projectile weapons... and does the same thing! going over to the next item in the line up.

I put it on split research points and it finishes the two it should have awhile ago.

I think ok no biggie and move back... colonize a tiny breathable and it only gives me 5 slots to build with and I should have 6 with my racial ability of extra storage. I go and check my other planets. And none of them show the extra spaces now, but I know they used to. Check a few more things and NONE of my races abilites are being shown. It lists them in the abilities area and when I click on my race it shows everything correct but the game isn't using any of it?

Any one else had a problem like this before?
I could start a new game since this one isn't too far along but I would rather not as I got a great initial start that should make for a good challenging game...

Any ideas?

Few extra things I checked... in the research it applies all the points needed to complete the project... -1.

Seems that the only reason split points evenly is completing them is it divides the points and applies them to each project.

Also this is a sim turn game.

In addition it isn't not applying the bonuses... it is applying strange modifiers while listing the normal ones. IE: Large planets with max unit storage of 9599kt... not what I remember the default being. In fact it seems to be doing -1 to that as well... some big -1 bug?

As far as I can tell it is applying everything as it should -1... Never seen anything like this before and it makes no sense to me...

Starting a new game certainly didn't work it had the same problems. However closing and restarting the program seemed to fix the problem.
Even loaded up my old game and it is working fine now as well.

Still curious as to if any one else has seen anything like this before?

I am curious, how are you using the mod? Are you manually editing the path.txt file or did you use the mod picker? And if you used the mod picker did you happen to close it during your game? Doing that reverts the path.txt file to none and I am wondering if this is what you are seeing. Perhaps switching to stock files during the game had some unusual effects on the program.

I was using SE4 launcher mod picker. I don't think I closed it during the game but it is possible that I did.
I know that I have closed it in the past during a game and not experienced negative effects.

You might not have a problem playing a turn based game, but I'll bet you would playing a sim turn game as you said you were this time. That's just a theory though. I am not really sure. I have never seen the problem you are describing.
