Error with AI settings upon starting a new game
Yes, I messed with some file somewhere. But everything in the Ai folder is there, everything in the Pictures/Races/raceblah folders is there. Most importantly, Default_AI_Settings.txt is there. What could cause this?

Pretty clear error..except for part of the top seems missing. 
One of your AI text files is missing those particular lines..probably because you imported a Classic AI into Gold.

Negative, I've only played with Gold. I *may* have tossed some TDM AIs in the wrong spot, but I don't think that they would be harming anything -- right? Just grab everything under Pictures/Races and toss it in SE4 folder? What do you mean by the top is missing? I alt-prtscr'd, so it gave me a shot of the active window.

When I get that message it tells me what race folder had the problem. Then again my path is a lot shorter.
You might have an old Version of TDM..what Version are you using?

Do you have the 1.84 patch installed?
The error message should include more subfolders than that. I have never seen it not show the race folder. You might want to consider reinstalling SE4 into a folder such as: C:\Games\SE4 or something short, so it won't want to cut off subfolder names.  |

Yes, it is 100% sure indication you have a non-Gold AI. Check them out !
