Default Modders, looking for component, facilities, race pics ... ?

I opened this section on SOTAS Last week. The idea is to have a collection of pictures ready to use for modders. For instance, SJ was looking for crew quarter pics a few weeks ago for P&N.

I've Already put some race pics on it, and I think I'll add soon some components and facilities. If you have specific needs at the moment, just let me know.

According to preview screens, Starfury and maybe SE V seems to use the same component pics as SE IV, so this work may be usefull at long term...

They happen to be pictures of the same objects, but if you look closely, they are also at a higher resolution.

A good graphics program could handle the resampling, but a re-rendering of the images from the original models would give the best results.

DB: already heard of it, but I had forgotten that there was a component section in it...
Perhaps there are things that haven't been done yet (organic, psychic or cristaline components...), even if this picture source is huge. Maybe modders will have different needs, just let me know...

BTW : It was Fyron, not SJ, who was looking for specific component pics...

SJ : speaking about starfury graphics ? what is their exact size ?

There are already thousands of images in the componentpack; the point of it is to have one set of images, so players can download it once, and use it in many many mods.
Also so that modders have an huge instant image selection while making their mods.
And, also so small-time artists have a place to put their stuff where it will be seen and used.

I don't recall offhand what rez they are exactly (haven't made any images yet), and I've got to run off to work, but just opening a screenshot in a basic image editor should allow you to count the size.
