Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow game? *full and running**
Since we'll apparently be playing a decent-sized map, I'm in as Mictlan. That'd make Cheezeninja Ermor, unless he's changed his mind.
I'd also like something smaller than Orania, just not quite as tiny as Urgaia. Beyond that, I don't favor any particular map enough to cast a vote.
Maps:
(write your name besides the map you prefer; you may add new maps.)
Urgaia: Esben
Karan: Karacan, Daynarr, Chazar
Karan dry Version: Turms, Cainehill
Parganos: Chazar
Arduria: Chazar
any: pickles, Mark the Merciful
Nations:
Abysia: Pickles
Arco: esben
Caelum: Chazar
C'tis: liga
Ermor: Cheezeninja
Machaka: Yellow Cactus
Man: Cainehill
Mictlan: Vicious Love
Pangaea: wolfkinsov
R'lyeh: Karacan
Ulm: Daynarr
Vanheim: Mark the Merciful
Marignon: rabelais
Pythium: Turms

If a few more people would actually vote for a map, we might get started sooner.... Not that it necessarily matters for a slow slow game, but still.

No preference on map for me.
I think 6+ provs per nation would be nice, to keep things from going thermonuclear (with attendant fallout ) too early,...
but I won't really mind if I start between the jotuns and the iron freaks.
Pity there is no "observer" functionality in Dom 2.. it would be nice to be able to watch with unnaturally good info, once eliminated.

Allllllrrriiighhty then!
I have change the game to the Karan map, since that one got the most votes. I have no idea how big that map is, but I will learn, I suppose.
Please check the game options and write here if you want anything changed. (I havn't touched them since creating the game).
Otherwise, I suggest we start whenever all pretenders have been uploaded.

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow game? *full and running**
Preferences:
- Personally I would like a big hall of fame...after all we're out for fame, aint we?
- Maybe 2-4 starting provinces to get it going quickly and to prevent anyone falling out immediately due to dramatic bad luck.
I've no idea about those VP, they function like temples, dont they? This might be quite interesting...

I'll second HoF to 15 but I'm against getting more then 1 province in the start.

I can see where this is headed already. Lets make another vote. Feel free to add additional items. Items with only one vote total will be ignored, as will draws.
Large Hall of Fame:
for: Chazar, Daynarr
against:
More than 1 starting provinces:
For: Chazar
Against: Daynarr

I'm fine with all other settings.
Based on a non-statistically significant number of SP games, I'd suggest that four starting provinces is more luck-prone than one. There are some sites that can realy boost your opening play if you get them free on turn 1 IMO.

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow game? *full and running**
I'm for HoF 15... (it should be default, unless pretenders are declared ineligible)
...but think one starting prov is best.
with more people just have less time to effect their chosen strategy before the sloppy slapdown begins. Am I wrong here? I so rarely play with more than one starting prov, I don't have any real data for the assertion.
