BTW, I have updated the test mod to include Zen's latest changes to the spell and pretender conceptual balance mods.
See www.soapyfrog.net/domw/foolslament3.htm for details. If you have already made and uplaoded a pretender, you will have to recreate him with the new mod file enabled.
Sorry for the disruption but gvien the improvement's to Zen's mod I think it's worth making the effort for.

Your starting provs besides your home prov can have random magic sites in addition to the starting ones, right (but no more than 4 sites total)?

actually, the sites usually number 6-8, and while vanhiem's started positoin isnt' the best, they do have the ultimate gateway, 50% conjeration bonus

Vanheim has a 50% conjuration site, starts with Wyverns preresearched, is not entirely unlikely to snag a 25gem air queen or two, has several nifty special mage-recruitment sites, and can easily use their sailing ability to move between the various parts of the realm of the Vanir. What's not to like?*

That 50% conjuration site is so, so nice.
