 | Actually last I've heard is players can cast multiple domes of the same type and their effect does stack.

Thus having 3 air domes and 2 forest domes means:

A distant spell targeting the province has to pass beyond each dome before working.

I just tested it. You can have as many domes in a single province as you want of the same type. I was able to put so many in that they stretched off the bottom of the screen.
If one or ten is more effective, I don't know. I would assume that the spell has to pass through multiple domes of the same type.

				 Re: Dome spells
This should be easy to test with a dome of flaming death, and some giants. See if having several of the domes kills a giant caster....

				 Re: Dome spells
I think only one dome of each type works at once, but e.g. multiple Air domes can be stacked so that even if a spell gets through, there will be a Dome up to block other spells cast at you later that turn. |

				 Re: Dome spells
yeah, stacking air domes, great idea.
what about simultaneous spells though. if multiple rituals target a dome of air in the same month, and one destroys it, does the air doem still negate all the other rituals or?

and does a dome take effect in the turn it is cast or only from the turn thereafter?

				 Re: Dome spells
I found an old thread about this, and here is what Johan has to say about it.

Basically, domes of same kind don't stack for blocking spells any better, but it can be occassionally useful. |
