Modding ? re Settings.txt
Does anyone know what these lines in Settings.txt are for:
Maximum Planet Percent := 250
Minimum Planet Percent := 0
Maximum Planet Resource := 999000000
Minimum Planet Resource Value :=0
They appear to be the same as:
Planet Value Low Percent := 0
Planet Value High Percent := 150
Planet Value Low Resources := 0
Planet Value High Resources := 500000

These are the absolute maximum and minumum value that a planet can have at any point during the game. Certain events, and facilities will modify planet value up or down. But they cannot do so beyond these end points.

These are the high and low ends of the range that the game will assign to planets when it randomly creates a map.
In the stock game at game starup a planet cannot be more than 150%, but you could improve it beyond that. But not beyond the 250% value.

Re: Modding ? re Settings.txt
Which brings up another issue.
I've "cut/pasted" Fyron's deluxe quad mod 40 population values into my "settings.text". I use the TDM Mod and try only to add parts of other mods, including my own junk that doesn't mess with the AI.
However, i have noticed that these lines are missing, I think, from the bottom of Fyron's "settings" file;
Maximum Planet Percent Value := 250
Minimum Planet Percent Value := 0
Maximum Planet Resource Value := 999000000
Minimum Planet Resource Value := 0
Bases Can Join Fleets := False
No Retrofit Adding Of Spaceyards := True
No Retrofit Adding Of Colony Module := True
Seeker Combat Defense Modifier := 40
Planet Combat Offense Modifier := 30
Planet Combat Defense Modifier := -200
Is this an oversight or is this intentional?
Because the pop values go to 290 in Fyron's Mod I was thinking it "max planet percent value" might need upping. I was thinking of raising it to 350. Is it now possible to go over 250? or still capped?
Any comments on this from anyone?

Re: Modding ? re Settings.txt
"Maximum Planet Percent Value := 250"
This has nothing to do with pop bonuses. It controls the maximum resource values a planet can have in a game.
All of those lines are optional, so them missing from FQM does not cause any problems. If the lines are not there, the game will just use the "old" values in the se4 executable.
