repeated battles?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but why is it that sometimes there are multiple battles at the same location?

Because the first battle was a draw, and the remaining units had movement points left (takes 1 per battle IIRC) to start another one.

In turn-based it takes 1 MP per battle initiation.

In simultaneous, I believe it happens every so many days, if there are hostiles remaining, and either the Last battle resulted in some destruction, or new units have arrived.
