This might be a noobie question

I am playing a solo game that I have a long run for my ships that dont have resupply planets (or any planets to make a depot), since a star base gets endless supply, could I make a SB for a resupply depot?

I could try it out, just thought I would ask real quick.

Not unless you edited the entry in Settings.txt BEFORE you started the game:

Bases Can Join Fleets := False

to the value: True

Then you could fleet the base with your ships to resupply.

now you tell me, *chuckle* well, I guess I better get working on the Resupply tech then.

in early tech levels I normally prefer to go for astrophysics and stellar harnessing. Get those solar panels up. The resupply tech a little later when I head for infinite supplies.

Fleeting bases was possible in eariler Versions of SE4, but it lead to abuses so the default setting is to prohibit it.
