Cool Ideas For IRC
You know I was just thinking to REPOPULATE the IRC channel maybe we can have like good discussion Groups at regular intervals. IE:
1-How to do your own shipsets? Q/A
2-Fixing minor bug problems
3-Custom AI
4-Art Sharing
5-AND SOME CONTACT!!!
more can follow or you can add your own!

Re: Cool Ideas For IRC
I wouldn't mind hosting a Kwok Skool of Planetary Design once I get set up on a new machine and reinstall a few programs. It's really quite easy - that is planet making...
Anyways...when I do visit IRC - I usually do most of things you have listed there.

Well, yeah, but the problem is that ppl turn up, find no-one active there and go away again, so it's nearly always dead in there. And becasue it's dead, when people turn up they find no-one active... it's an entropic downward spiral effect.
However, if you were to organise a panel of shipset-design experts fielding questions at a specific time and date, I think you might find a lot of ppl on the channel at that time.
Then everyone would get to chatting with one another after the meeting, and so would probably come back and visit more often, hopefully reversing the spiral. Personally I think it's a great idea.
