Ok now, this looks interesting...
When you say a board game, do you mean literally a table top board game with pieces and everything? Or is this a computer game that operates like a board game, like risk or something like that? It feels like a stupid question, but I read the game info and it's not clear to me.

Yeah, I looked at the screen shots. Still couldn't tell.
This is quite a departure for Shrapnel. Will you be releasing a computer board game Version in the future?

Who knows, we will be putting CD's of our computer game demos in the boxes though.
We all played games like these before computers came along, and Mark's system looked like a good fit to get into the market. I think we can get a lot of crossover for both.

You know, Geoschmo, I have to agree with you. It IS hard to tell from the screenshots! Rich and Ron are terrific artists. Frankly, I've never seen a better looking boardgame. But then again, I'm prejudice. ;-)
Best,
Mark

Re: Ok now, this looks interesting...
Well I'm looking forward to this game. I like the game scale and the topic. The graphics are excellent. However, before I spend any money I'd like to see the promised demo. I want to get a feel for the rules to see just how good they are. Also, a few questions. Will the game have a mounted game board or an unmounted map? Also, how many board/maps are included and are they geomorphic (is that the right word?).

Hi Eddie,
No, the Boards won't be mounted. They will be of heavy, quality stock. Yes, they are geomorphic, and that was a pain beyond description. It took Ron and I quite a while to get that right.
The demo is coming, I swear. Please understand how busy we all are. Right now the tentative demo date is 8/30.
And, yeah, I'm going to get that Platoon move off to you this weekend. ;-)
Best,
Mark

Re: Ok now, this looks interesting...
This game has got me very interested as well. Since The Gamers sold out to MMP I've been turning into a computer gamer, but LnL looks great so far. One question though, what are we looking at for cost here??

Re: Ok now, this looks interesting...
Just an odd question and a great looking game, how will the demo look?
Will it be something like a set of documents you can download and cut out?
But so far, it looks like it'll be a great game.

Hi,
We are currently playtesting the demo scenario and laying out the rules. When that is done, the demo will be out. I had hoped for 8/30, but I think that will slip.
Yes, you will have to print out the demo, and put it together. But it won't be a big deal. Won't take more than 20 minutes.
Preorder price is 39.95.
Best,
Mark
