Game Mechanics?
Does anyone have a clue as to how the non-flight/combat portions of the game will work? Like the trading/economics, RP, etc etc?
EDIT - did my new avatar work?
EDIT - Grrr... not yet... try one more time...
EDIT - There! That's got it!

Re: Game Mechanics?
As long as it's not RTS, I don't care. I much prefer a turn-based game myself, so I don't fancy trying to play and think at the same time. I much rather have the time to contemplate my moves.

Re: Game Mechanics?
SF is a RPG, not a strategy game, so it can not be a RTS.
The web site does list this as a feature:
"24bit 3D real-time rendered graphics. "
Which implies that it is real time (though not in any way RTS ).

I disagree with that assertion. I've seen some games that purport to be a RPG that are RTS. Those games I don't like, because like I"ve stated earlier, I prefer turn-based games. But I'm glad to hear Starfury won't be a RTS game.

Re: Game Mechanics?
Starfury is supposed to be a spaceflight simulator, with some RPG elements. So it's real-time, but not RTS. At least that's what I think.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Game Mechanics?
RTS = Real Time Strategy. An RPG can NOT be a RTS game. RPGs can be real-time, but not RTS. There is a colossal difference between real-time and RTS.

Which is repeating exactly what Erax said.
