Bug in Campaign 3
I have come across a bug in the mission I am currently trying to do...now I can not complete it.
This is the kill the Sithrak Starbase in the Jinook system. I've been at this for hours and have bearly scratched the thing - its shields and armor are enormous and as for the damned weapons it uses...I have to get my weapons fixed after every attack run. I am now using their weapons against them after clearing the system of Sithrak ships.
This is not the problem/bug however. I left the system to seek out better shields, armor and weapons for my poor little cruiser - Abbidon Series 2 Cruiser Mark 3 Plus. While out of the system I saved and exited the game to get some zzz
Returning to the game this morning, the Sithrak ships are back in the Jinook system but the Sithrak Starbase is GONE and I know I did not kill it, and the Terran fleet certainly didn't - it couldn't even get past the Sithrak Battleships
So, how do I now finish this mission with no target to kill...

Re: Bug in Campaign 3
If you can, send a savegame of this to Aaron so he can fix it. Sounds like something in the data files is messed up or something.

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

I've emailed asking for what files they would like me to send them.

Re: Bug in Campaign 3
Same Bug just happened to me... I read somewhere else on the forum that someone mentioned triggering an event to get past this mission, I got the cheat text line up but couldn't figure out which mission code to enter and the correct format. Any ideas anyone ? thanks
Also, not sure if it's relevant, but after having got bored, accumulated 5 million credits and gone wandering, I noticed that systems from earlier in the game like Yorkshire, New Texas and many others had also changed their configuration afterwards. The locations of planets and starbases had shifted...? strange

Re: Bug in Campaign 3
The locations of planets, asteroids, and storms is randomly determined at the start of each campaign based on settings in the campaign folder. Asteroids are completely random, planets are ussually in an X distance ring about the star.

Re: Bug in Campaign 3
Anyone ? Surely someone knows how to trigger this event to get past the lack of a Starbase in the Jinook system ? Or perhaps even how to put it back in

Re: Bug in Campaign 3
Try
`triggerevent Event Commander Bensen 6 Finish C`
The ` is important, both at the start and end.
Although you may have to figure out which key it is on your keyboard if you are not QWERTY North American. It is the key above the tab, not beside the enter key.
Look in Main_Events.txt for the trigger string if that is not correct.
