just got my copy of starfury and i was hoping that after being patched the problem with resolution switching would be solved.
i can set my desktop to 1024x768 and play but it plays in a window that find highly annoying. if i set my desktop to 800x600 i have to alt-tab to get the resolutions correct.
is there a patch coming that will fix this problem?
Start Starfury and click Setup intead of Play. You have it set to Windowed mode (or it got there on its own- happens sometimes).
Change it to whichever resolution you like. Note that if you are in windowed mode and less than 1024x768 it'll still play fullscreen since that's SFs lowest resolution.

i'll have to look at the setup menu when i get home, but i still find it unacceptable that i have to set my desktop resolution to that of the game's minimum resolution because of bad resolution switching on malfador's part. i like to keep my desktop at 800x600 but then i'm forced to alt-tab out then in just to play, then when i quit my screen stays black and i have to reboot.
is malfador going to address the resolution switching in a future patch?
Your screen shouldn't stay black at the end; I had the same alt-tab issue without the black screen but never considered it much of a problem. Dunno if he's going to patch it or not.

I have a related problem with my nVidia laptop display. I _have_ to play in windowed mode because in full-screen mode the game just hangs there with a black screen, even if I try and alt-tab back and forth.
