Being able to fly forward and making left or right turns is good but shouldn't the ships be able to go in reverse or thrust sideways? There are thrustder upgrades and it doesn't make sense for a ship not to be able to go in reverse slowly just in case they need to dock or dodge a planet without having to turn the ship around. Heh, it would also make it much easier to pick up scattered components.
Or imagine flying a ship with lots of broadside weapons and you shooting at a target while maintaining your distance by strafing sideways to keep your guns firing at them. I guess this idea would also be time and work intensive to implement because the NPC ships should be able to use this ability to their advantage. Plus, you would have to add three new buttons for the reverse, left, and right thruster.
...Since I'm throwing ideas at you, here's another one. Is there anyway to show your ship's actual speed next to the speed gauge? I would like to see numerically how fast my ship is flying and when I target a ship, see their speed too.
Q#1...Here's a question. How can I increase the chances of what is dropped when a ship blows up?
Q#2...Is there any way to decrease the time it takes for a ship to blow up?
Q#3...When taking two mercenary missions that has the target in the same system, it always corrupt the .map file. Is it just me or is that a bug? I know that if I don't take on two Mercenary missions for destroying ships in the same mission, the problem wouldn't occur but is there another way to fix this? What I've been doing previously is grab a #.map file from an earlier save and it would clear the mercenary mission and get right of the crash.
