				 Short cut commander orders
In between turns I get a hint that to I can make store orders by crt+1-9 and recall them by pressing 1-9. I can not get this to work in the map giving commanders orders (research, cast spell, ect). Is this only for the battle setup screen? If not, how do you make it work on the map? Later in the game I get tired of hunting through the spell list if I want a lot of mages casting the same thing. |

Ctrl+num only works on battle orders. IE cast quickness cast nether darts cast nether darts cast nether darts cast spells etc.
You can select several commanders in give them simultaneous orders though, in the main window.

If you have a mage selected (or a bunch of mages) you can hit Shft-M and give them spells to cast over and over so you dont have to keep telling them to do something like "summon vinemen"

I wish you could chain-order them to forge something. There are items like clams and skull mentors I'd just set somebody to building and forget about them. |

Lifelong Protections, Dousing Rods, Water Bracelets, Owl Quills, Boots of Messengers, Robes of Missile Protection, Winebags... I've wanted to mass produce all those things. Shift-f would be quite useful; Shift-m is already great, especially for Vinemen and Vine Ogres. I even used it for Ice Devils, Arch Devils, and Faery Queens in a test-game=)Quote:

				 Re: Short cut commander orders
Thanks. I knew about shift+m command, but I was hoping there was a way to get all my mages to cast the same ritual at once with minimal work on my part. I had this great idea of hitting a province with Fires from Afar cast by all my mages, but it was a real pain to select the spell from the list for each one. Oh well, thanks again for the info. |

I too would appreciate a monthly forging command. That would be pretty sweet. |
