Default Any way to mod/change Independent Strength for a Scenario?

Can't figure out a way to do this so far...it would seem like an obvious thing to be able to mod too...

Command for a map is

#independents (1-9)

AFAIK it's not a "mod" command, only a map/scen one.

Look in the Mapedit file in D2/docs, under Advanced Province Commands. You can specify practically any army you can imagine for each province, down to naming the commanders and giving them experience and specific magic items, and setting who is guarding them and who is fighting normally.

If you mean the non AI player indies, you can set the "#Poptype" in the "blahblah.map" text file to get the basic type of indie you want in a provence then use the "independent strenght" setting when you choose a game to make all indies stronger or weaker as you might wish.

I haven't tried adding multiple poptypes to a provence, but it might work, if it does then you have close to what you want I think, albeit maybe not everything.

Again the "#commander " and "#comname" might work for some of your purposes.

cheers
