Well, as completely wild speculation unbacked by any rumor or statement as of yet, I'm going to guess that some sort of gruesome accident occurred. This was, after all, his idea, so for him to suddenly and unexpectedly disappear, something unpleasant must have happened to him.

I looked back on this thread and the Last post made by JDS is june 29th. So almost two weeks without any word from him...Norfleet's idea sounds reasonable lol.

so we are going to start without JD? i`ve sent him mail earlier today, and have had no answer whatsoever. this is what i have in mind, we start without JD.. if anyone has something to say. better say it before 12 hours passes. after 12h you can launch it Norfleet. and if there is some rookie reading this and wants to take part in serious noobie action. you are welcome to join us. but we need only onew, and if nobody shows up. we play 7vs7.

ok so in less than 12 hours it is being launched with the settings below (copying from below post)

4 norfleet:
starting provinces1, ind7, normal richnes, magic sites 35, random events common, research normal, standard victory. one turn for 24h (quickhost). map aran. HoF 15.

(i cant handle the 12h qoickhost. im a working man and id stale every morning turns. because at mornings im physically wrecked and not able to think or do anything wise (and always just in time at work). sorry guys)

If a new player decides to join us soon the Vanheim player is the one that is MIA so they can choose either vanheim or any other nation that isnt on the list. Watch me land up two provinces away from someone else and die right away lmfao. Anyway our newbie game will let us see how a game is when you arent fighting the AI.

I can´t play my turn. I can connect to the server, but when I choose to play my turn (Abysia) I receive an error message : "Myloadmalloc: can't open ./mods/zenvision.dm"
Is this a problem with my computer or with the server?

sir, clueless newbie reporting error your highnes, sir! sir, there seems to be mod missing, sir! sir, game stated something about "cant open ./mods/ZenVision.dm" (?), sir! i wonder where i can get the mod? is it somekind newbie-tactics-spying-tool?

hrm but when i go to do my turn i get that same error message as you guys
