Regeneration Questions
Hi,
Undead don't benefit from regeneration, right?
Why do Tartarian Spirits have 8 hp regeneration ability? What does this do for them?
Does regeneration help with fatigue regeneration?
Does regeneration ever help undead in any way at all?
Is the regeneration ability any different than having a ring of regeneration?
Thanks for the answers!
John

Re: Regeneration Questions
Er, Undead do regenerate if they have the ability. What made you think they wouldn't?

Re: Regeneration Questions
Undead can't be affected by items giving regeneration (hydra armor, ring of regeneration) or by the normal spells for giving it (personal regeneration, regeneration, Strength of Gaiai), but if it's inherent to the undead, it'll regenerate. Similarly, Carrion Woods Pangaea can make undead regenerate (at least their own, haven't tried with a PoD or whatnot) with one of their unholy spells (Regrowth).
Regeneration doesn't do anything for fatigue, no. Different ability, given by various spells, blessings, and equipment.
So - if you can get your undead to regenerate, it's great for them. But the normal, easy, ways of getting regeneration don't work for them.

Re: Regeneration Questions
Undead can get regeneration, if they are not lifeless. And cw regrowth spell works on lifeless undead too.

At the end of every round of combat, they will get 8 HP restored, up to their maximum health.

No.

Yes. Like other, non-lifeless units.

Yes. You can stack the regeneration you get innately with the regeneration you get from an item. So if you get 10% regeneration innately because you are a Vampire Lord and you wear an item which gives you 10% regeneration, you'll have 20% regeneration. At least you did when I tested this in 2.11.

My pleasure. Inigo have sumed it up nicely. You can also stack regeneration from spells (Personal Regeneration, Strength of Geya) with regeneration from items/ability. Whoever said that Earth Mother is a weak SC pretender, haven't seen thramplening Big Mama with good damage shield, MR30, prot 30 from Invulnerability, and regenerating 150+hp per turn. I've used it in one of my recent games. It is scary.
