				 Demo problem
 Hi! Derek.
I have been expected this title, and tried the demo.
But I have a problem.

After the first battle,
I click the 'click to begin other remainders match' button, it always CTD.
It says 'stop satatement encountered'.

Windows98
Celeron 1.4G, 384MB RAM, GF2MX, latest drivers

I'm downloading the demo now. I have Windows ME with a ADM 1.8mhz processor and 256 meg of ram. I hope I don't have any problems. |

Downloaded & was enjoying until I had the same problem. Running Win98SE, 2.4G Pentium 4, 512M Ram, NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4400.
Others have reported the same problem on the Gone Gold site. So far everyone giving their stats was using Win95, Win98 or WinMe.

				 Re: Demo problem
I'm using Windows XP and get the same error, although I don't think that this error is related to system specs. If it's what I think it is, it should be a relatively quick fix for Derek. |

				 Re: Demo problem
 Hey all,
Sorry for the problem! Yes, I left some debug code (used to check for program errors or problems) in the program. Ugh!

The new fixed demo has been sent in to Shrapnel already, all they need to do is update it with the new demo.

Thanks and sorry again! Programmers aren't always the smartest in the world! |

				 Re: Demo problem
I'm just one more person that encountered that 'Stop' error running XP. But I found a bigger bug/eyesore,.. I e-mailed derek with a simple fix. weather or not he will use it is another thing.
What's the bug/eyesore? Shhhhhh it's a secret and I'm sure not going to let the cat out of the bag, the fact is, only a dweeb like me would ever notice it, so you'll only find out if Derek uses my 'eye-patch'

Cheers! |

				 Re: Demo problem
I sure will, David! Thanks for patching the "eye-sore". I'll be using it for the full Version. Thanks for your very cool contribution!
<deliberately skipping over the 'dweeb' reference, though gosh, it would take one to notice it!> |

				 Re: Demo problem
As far as the updated demo, will another demo come out, or will there just be a patch? |

				 Re: Demo problem
Another demo will come out....in fact it's already out! How that's for quick?
Just go to the download page and download it again (uninstall the previous demo using the Start-All Programs menu option). Should work ok.

Thanks!

(PS And thanks again to David Gervais for even more ideas he sent just now. I should have him on the payroll! ) |
