Default My Compliments!

I feel i've seen a few too many negative Posts lately so i'd like to show my appreciation for all the hard work the dev's and the moderaters do on both the game and the message board. People nitpick, but thats in our nature, and they wouldn't do so if they didn't actually care about the game.

I dont mean to sound sappy, but it seems alot of the dev and moderator Posts have been sounding somewhat embattled lately, and i'd hate to lose another veteran, or heaven forbid one of the developers gets sick of the game.

so thanks alot! Keep up the excellent work!

I would like to add... Dominions_2 is far better then Civilization_3 in every way except diplomacy with the AI. Civilization_3 doesn't even exist yet Dominions_2 will be around for awhile on my computers. Keep up the great work and I'll be looking forward to purchasing Dominions_3.

I'll add my support. Prior to Dominions, there wasn't a computer game that caught my interest for several years. After downloading the demo, I couldn't go without getting the full game. I haven't been disappointed! Great job.

dominion 2 is just the greatest strategy game imo .
and i think i will even like it in 10 years .

the only other strategy game that comes close here is steel panthers world at war but it is a squad level tactical turn based game so expect being turn based it has nothing in common with dominions .

i personally like turn based strategy games with empire management like dominions most

hopefully you are already planning on dominions 3 .
i am [almost] perfectly happy with dominions 2 .

but seeing what a huge improvement dominions 2 was towards dominions 1 if you can make this with dominions 3 too dominions 3 will be even better than dominions 2 .
and i am sure you can do this

just adding again new nations , perhaps easier modding / map designing ( good example : the starcraft brood war editor , adding perhaps triggers / scripts for sp like give +1000 gold to ai at turn 10 , ermor ai ally with pangenea ai , etc . )

and many more customizeable options especially for sp especially customizeable ai difficulty :
you may chose custom and then you have sliders or whatever like the following :
ai bonus gold e.g. -50% - +200%
ai bonus resources -50% - +200%
ai gem income : halfed , doubled , tripled etc.
option : ai fight only vs human : yes / no

another editor program where you can select ai research priorities / block special spells etc.

make a priority list for rituals for ai :

then an example would be i select for abysia ai :
bloodhunt , high priority : ritual summon devils , summon ice devils , summon arch devils , forge some special items like blood thorn ....

this way i could program the ai like i would play e.g. abysia and give it +50% bonus in all sorts of income and would have a really challenging match knowing that the ai is really an almost as good opponent as a human

If we are putting in a wish list for Dom 3, I would wish for a way to make permanent allies. Just like in other TBS games, where you can freely move through your partners territory and not automatically attack his armies or provinces.

Of course, the FFA concept of Dom 2 is excellent as it is and would definitely HAVE to be kept in Dom 3 no matter what else is changed. I am certainly not suggesting replacing that, just in favor of adding an option.

One thing is pretty sure, though. When Dom 3 comes out, I will be buying it.

yeah and adding : send creatures
this way i can trade scs
e.g. i give as abysia an archdevil for a airqueen etc

and add that an ally may do search rituals on allied provinces .
this way an alliance of e.g. ulm + pythium would be cool .
pythium would accashic everything , ulm would forge

I think the destructive effect this would have on game balance is self-evident.

Since this is just a thread to praise the developers, that's what I'm going to stick with. Big nuzzles to all (er... both ) developers.

All of those things are already possible in the game. Most of them are part of the pluses/minuses of a race. Ive avoided posting to this thread since Ive been singing Doms praises for years, so I will start a new thread (or find an old one to bring back from the dead)

Yeah much love to the devs. I'm a big enthusiast for turn based strategy games and this one is the top of the list. First one I have seen in a LONG while which is both fun and does not require tons of micro management.
