Re: For Primitive: (Dragon*Con)
I seem to have been proven wrong this time; Amazon steps in as a worthy site if you need to import something (without suffering long shipping delays and prices closer to the ones practiced by armed robbers). Erh, what happened to my promise of stopping my wild rants?
However, if someone is willing to help me out with another matter, it would certainly be appreciated. The DVD in question belongs to the Zone 1 (US and Canada), while Europe is in Zone 2. Does this limit mean anything for computer DVD players, or is it only important for TV DVD players? Does it depend on the DVD player? Can you guess I am truly computer illerate? (Or anything related to electronics for this matter) Should I steal Deadstar's own DVD and be done with it?
Thanks in advance for any answer! I will remember I owe you a favour. *Grumbles*

That sounds like a Fyron question .

Re: For Primitive: (Dragon*Con)
Zoning is not much of an issue with computers. DVD-ROM drives can read any zoned DVD. What might be an issue is your DVD playing software. There are programs that will bypass zoning garbage, such as AnyDVD, which runs in the background and descrambles the DVD info, allowing any software to play the movie. They have a trial Version you can use to play a single DVD. If zoning is going to be a big issue, might be worth the 40 dollars US to buy it.

That's a very big tattoo. Those two Chinese symbols at the top mean "evil" and "poison".

Re: For Primitive: (Dragon*Con)
Thanks Fyron! Now perhaps I should start looking for a DVD player to begin with. Yes, I seem to have expected the DVD to play without requiring an additional player; how naive of me.

Re: For Primitive: (Dragon*Con)
You just need a DVD-ROM drive. You can find one for 20 bucks US... They are pretty cheap these days, what with DVD burners having come down in price so much. Most of them come packaged with a software player... If not, there are plenty of free programs out there that work great. Just ask.

Another tall girl (in silver and black...sorry, Timstone ). But, just take a look at that expression on her face! Eat you alive, she would!

Now, while I appreciate female costumes, I gotta admit this is a pretty good "Snake Plissken"! (oh, and what is filling his left hand isn't bad, either)

Re: For Primitive: (Dragon*Con)
Thanks Fyron! I will be looking for DVD players as soon as I get a DVD to begin with (at least I have the DVD drive, even if it has served no purpose until now).
I cannot comment on the two girls; doing so would destroy what little remains of my sanity. Now we are only lacking the butterfly bra from Last year's thread, and... Well.
