Re: Looking for players for a new NEWBIE game.
I haven't created the game yet, still waiting for some more players and deciding on the settings.
Probably by monday everything will be ready to receive empire files and more players will be interested.
Glad you decided to join Enigma!

Re: Looking for players for a new NEWBIE game.
Colliding Space Dreams is now accepting players!
For now there's room for 10 players, we can always add more later.
Remember that this game is on a large map so there will be plenty of room for empire building. Extensive diplomacy and roleplaying is encouraged.
Turns are set to full automatic every 36 hrs but this can be changed ofcourse.

Re: Looking for players for a new NEWBIE game.
Hi Guys:
I have been playing Dominions II for a while, and I decided to dust off my SEIV disk Last night. I need to bone up on how the game works before I join in, but please keep me in mind for future NOOB games.

Well joined the game, looking forward to it. 36 hours may be tough, but not at the beginning I think.

Re: Looking for players for a new NEWBIE game.
I've applied to join. I have a few questions about rules:
"No tech trading" - does that include trading ships just to analyze them? What about population trading?
Will we be forced to waste research and facility space on intel facilities that are almost impossible to use offensively without an overwhelming advantage, and even with such an advantage won't usually do very much for the cost?
Will the extremely overpowered Deeply Religious advanced racial trait be allowed?
Are we using tesco's suggestion of turning on the "every player sees entire map at start" option?

Douglas,
All good points and glad you raised them !
No Tech Trading : No trading/gift/tribute of tech, No ship trading, if you want to analyze ships, goota capture them.
Population trading seems ok to me.
Intel : I would keep it allowed, it's just a strategic decision if you want to invest in that.
Deeply Religious Trait : I'm fine with not allowing it. I would be interested to see what other people think about that.
Ofcourse all these points are up for debate, so let's hear it.

Re: Looking for players for a new NEWBIE game.
I would say we would need to make a decision pretty quick. I am ok with no tech or ship trading. My race is not "Religious" but if players have races that are we need to let them know pretty quick. Also if we disallow intell then I would need to withdraw and reapply because I would want to make a slight change to my race.
