Default Pangaea magic

Just wondering, what are worthy worthy spells, and even more in what order should I pick em? I just love Gift of Nature's Bounty and using GK pretender with the usual VQ tactic. Other than that I've also heard of casting Legions of Steel, Giant's Strength and Regeneration with Pans. I don't mind if you would also tell some cool tactics for this awesome nature nation (Gandalf's favorite one, at least what the pigeons have told).

Swarm is a generally nifty spell. The later half of this thread discusses the power of Swarm when combined with Haunted Forest.

Powerful spells thread

You high base income of Nature gems means you can summon tons of Vine Men and Vine Ogres. You can also get bunches of Mandragoras if you get a Pan with a Death random.

My favorite battle spell with Pangaea has to be the lowly Tangle Vines. You get it early, and it's still useful in the late game.

What theme are we talking about? I always wonder what the Blood-magic is worth for on the Pandemoniac of the default theme, since you dont have anyone to do the actual hunting...?

When you find a library you can fix that. I tend to turn down the taxes on those provinces anyway since it fills with sages and I dont want the display cluttered with patrollers. Use blood sages for hunting.

My notes (scattered thru the forum here) often mentions some of the great uses of Pangaea for things like Stealth. The Pandemoniac with a Black Heart is a FUN assassin! He can do Hell Bind to capture the commander, and all of its equipment, which then kicks off a "battle" as your new convert attacks his old troops. The Pan is a useful assassin also since the maenads test the province each turn to se if you snagged the Last commander there.
DISCLAIMER:best for large maps and long games (YMMV)
