Making Pictures for MODS
Does anyone know how to make pictures without a box of black around the image? I've tried everything I can think of but nothing works.

You have to use color as black as possible (RGB 0,0,0), not something that just looks like black (like RGB 0,0,1).
To make shadows, you need pink. I think it was (255,0, 255), but am not sure.

Re: Making Pictures for MODS
It is 255,0,255 (or FF00FF) but it is in no way pink.
Most people call it Magenta (unless I misspelled it >_<).
Theoretically it should have been purple (we've all been taught about Red + Blue = Purple in some point in our life) but since computer monitors don't work quite like human eyes, its Magneta (Or whatever...).

Sorry, I just didn't know a better word for it. I know Red and Green and Blue, but magenta and beiche (?) and similar I don't know even in Finnish. (Although magenta happens to be magenta in Finnish, as well... )
And computer monitors mix colored light instead of paints. Projecting light through blue and red transparencies gets you magenta.

I know, I learned that in physics in the 9th grade =P.
I just didn't want to start explaining things...
BTW, I only corrected you about the color in case you actually thought it was pink (because you don't know the word or because you don't know you are color blind :/).
The point got across though and everyone is just alright =P

Re: Making Pictures for MODS
I'm not sure really what is being said here so this is what I did.
I'm trying to make a picture for a god (A Troll) and I took a friend's drawing. I scaned it in and fixed it a little with Graphic Converter. After this I Loaded it in Picture viewer. Than saved it as a tga file. Loaded it into Dominions mod folder tried loading it up and than all I see is black around the troll.
If anyone wants to try and fix this I'd be more than happy to email it to them and my friend is ok with it also. Please help the Trolls need a God.

Re: Making Pictures for MODS
If you see the black around the troll that means you did not make it truly black.
You must make sure every single black pixel is completely black (#000000 or 0,0,0), otherwise they won't be invisible.
The same goes for shadows, all shadow pixels (colored magenta) should be exactly #ff00ff or 255,0,255.
