Default Remote mining sat\'s

Is there a way to tell exactly how much you're getting from remote mining sat's? All I can see is the icon, but it doesn't show the exact amount per turn. I look at it in the empire status window and the numbers don't seem to add up properly... But without a way to check the actual output of a sat group, I don't have a way to be sure.

you can only remote mine a planet or astroids with a single sat or ship/base. that said the mining sats work like facilities. (without the pop bonus and i think system facilites) Also resources of planet/asteriod mined this way drop 1 percent a turn.

You can mine with up to 3 satellites or one ship. If the asteroid is above 150%, it is reduced to that level after the first turn of mining (seems like a bug to me)

Really? I've got some really huge bases loaded with remote miners and the asteroids are still over 200%.

If you look at the ship details to the right of the system map, it says how much that ship/sat is mining right above the maintenance cost (for ships/bases).

The threshhold is 250, not 150. Anything from 250 to 300 will drop to 249 after one turn.

You can only use three satellites if they are mining different resources (one of each type).

Multiple mining components on a ship/base do not increase the rate of value loss. It is 1% per turn if 1 mineral is mined or if 100000000 minerals (in a crazy mod) are mined. Each resource value can be decreased each turn if all resources are being mined. Technically, it is more efficient (for ships/bases) to only mine a single resource type at a time, as you will be able to mine the asteroid for 3 times as many turns (assuming each resource value starts equal).

If the satellite is in any sort of group, it is impossible to tell how many resources it is mining in any direct fashion.

Also, note that remote mining does not require the presence of a space port.
