Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
I guess from a newbie perspective, I read alot on these forums that the majority of the pretender designs were VQ or GK (at least before the Zen mods). And I guess since reading that, I never tried to use them. I figure if that's the "typical" pretender design, I wanted to try and learn on the "not so typical" pretender design, everything other than those 2. Of course, with not much luck yet.

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
The VQ isn't a very good pretender with or without the Zen mods. Illwinter raised the point cost and lowered the dominion on the VQ. However, I am trying something new (for me) with Pangaea and I needed a nasty SC to keep me alive while I test it out.

If I just had those reserve devils from the capital in that fight... But Abysia is not beaten yet, just enter my dominion and you'll be surprised

So - everyone okay with going back to 24 hour for the next 5 - 15 turns or so? If no one objects, I'll ask Ironhawk to set us back, until such point turns start requiring too heavy an investment of time for people.

I would prefer if you could keep the longer turns with the upcoming long weekend in the USA.

Oh yeah - will keep it until after the 5th at least. After that, well, we'll see how long the turns are taking.

And, incidentally, we have 48 hours from right now for the next turn.

Well - now that I've been inside your dominion, I suspect you've seen why I avoid the phoenix for a pretender myself. While going against independents it seems grand, but it just isn't robust enough when you start going against another player. Not enough health & not enough slots means it dies incredibly quick if you don't spend 3-5 turns doing self-buffs, and even if you do, it still dies quickly.
And I do thank you for the nice castle and laboratory.

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
I think in the previous battle he killed enough of your units, I think all fiends and some others too. And if he had at least one eye in this battle I think it was possible to kill all your woodsmen with fire. But something went really wrong this time because devils were meant to attack your Pretender (attack large monsters) and imps decided to attack him when they were supposed to hold woodsmen. Anyway the war is not over yet.

Don't feel bad - the fiends were set to target flying critters, and went after your foot soldiers. Actually I was somewhat impressed with your phoenix's aim, considering it had no eyes.
