Perhaps (in DoGA) add a "screen" of almost fully transparent, utterly non-reflective material in front of it. That might provide somewhat of a "blur" effect. I haven't tried it though, and I can't right now, but it might work.

This small compilation was done in ~30 minutes, 45 max.

If you're talking about the shipset, well, yeah, that's been at least several days of work doing approx. 3 hours (I guess) a day making these models, so I think at least somewhere in the vicinity of 10 hours.
