Default Superhuman FOs ?

How many arty fire missions and /or targets would a real FO team handle in the time span of a spmbt turn (~3 min)?

Shouldn’t there be a limit on fire/strike missions and/or targets per turn a FO unit can “manage” in the game?

I think (correct me if I’m wrong) that at least some dedicated FO vehicles allow for the handling of a larger volume of arty missions than a typical (unmounted) FO unit. So if there was an “arty mission limit” there would be an additional incentive to “buy” these units (other than their vision rating, armor or mobility).

Default Re: Superhuman FOs ?

In real life an FO services 1 target, with possibly several fire units firing onto the target.

In SP games, he can call multiple fire units in on multiple targets.

Any changes would need a completely new code base.

Cheers

They partly solved this in SP3 using the Orders concept. But you could still use an FO to spot multiple targets.

IMO this is rarely an issue because your FOs will usually be laying down artillery on only one hex or among a close group of several hexes. It's rare for a single FO to have to spot for two widely separated targets at once.
