I hope SE5 is worth it, as i just ordered it from Gamestop for $99.98 (with shipping fees to Brazil), and customs taxes of another another $49.99 in a total of $149.97...

If the brazilian customs works as always, in around 3 or 4 months i will receive the game... by them i hope the patches released make it a better game than the demo...
Ouch. It will be worth it in the end, though. Keep in mind SE:IV had what, 84 or 92 patches to make it what it is today; I forget what the current version number is.

EDIT: current version is 1.95, so 95 patches...

I got a call, it will be at GameStop this afternoon. Hurray!! NA Texas location.

This GameStop also said that they carry few computer games. I looked around in the store, but could only find XBox, and other Console type games. I saw no PC ones, let alone an Amiga game.

The latter is hardly surprising, given that I can't find any mention of a new game release for the Amiga more recent than 2000.

My first two home computers were Amigas.

95 VERSION numbers, not 95 patches. SE5, for example, is up to 1.06 without having a single patch released yet, and I suspect the actual patch will be 1.07 or 1.08.

No doubt because Commodore went out of business in 1994, and the last actual Amiga (as opposed to AmigaOne, which is a PowerPC) was made c. 1996. Not much potential in porting new games to 10-years-in-the-dustbin-of-history platforms.

I loved my C64. My dad gave it to me when his employer gave him a lunch box 286. I was the only kid I knew with a computer at college back in those days. I played the heck out of Wizard's Crown, F15 Strike Eagle, and Gunship.

Wizards Crown:Eternal Dagger was my favorite game on the C64, I stayed up for 3 days straight playing it one time.
