Some complaints about the interface

In general, the interface upgrade was great, but i have three complaints.

1) (the biggie) The brown background is really awful. I have an less-than-new monitor and i can barely play. Most units are tough to see and some are flat invisible. I have played on a friend's rig with a better monitor, and it's not as bad, but it's still not good. Alot of effort went into better sprites that now blend into the low contrast background. I'm not the only guy in the world with an old monitor and i think this will keep some new players away.

2) The new temples are very hard to see. I think a darker outline would fix this.

3) The new candle graphic is inferior to the old one. Rare's the time that i need to know exactly what the dominion of a certain province is, and i'm willing to do a click to find it. Locating and counting teenie weenie little candles is serious eye strain.

1) There are already few graphics-changing mods. Check the modding forum.

2) I haven't noticed this, but it probably depends a lot from the map in question.

3) press '4'. That toggles a small dominion/income/resources box with a dominion candle.

I like the brow background as it reminds me of Dominions I.

I agree that the new temple and castle graphics are less than good. =/

Don't worry once I will have time, I will make gfx mods [and hopefully new wallpapers also], including backgrounds. Right now I just don't have time even to work on the TC mod.
