Default Ramblings of one untidy modder

*Groan* Actually managed to mod myself into a virtual dead end. With so many small alterations collected into a single huge text I'm now completely confused what's causing my game to crash.

How to you guys keep a neat archive while trying out alterations? Sort by subject (spells, units, weapons) or sort by area (machaka, summoned units, heroes) or perhaps even numerical?

I start with one category for each type of mod, skip a line in-between 'subjects', and drop a line whenever it seems appropriate. For example, in monster modding, the newmonster and spr commands would go on one line, then the friggin' huge description on another, then the stats on a third. Then one empty line in-between that and the next monster.
