Awww! But I like the gadgets! On the other hand, Daniel Craig does tend to rock, so maybe I'll go see it despite the lack of gadgets.

Re: OT: Movies You Have Seen Lately
I read a review saying they decided to take a different direction when they got carried away. Apparently driving around in a car with a cloak is too unrealistic.
I once read though that back in the 60s they had a movie with small underwater breathing devices, sort of like the scuba masks the Jedi in Phantom Menace had. This bloke had been working for years trying to develop such a device and when he saw the movie he insisted on seeing the developers. Apparently it broke his heart when they told him the actors just held their breath.

Re: OT: Movies You Have Seen Lately
I once read that someone paid a million dollars for the secret to the automatic doors in ST:TOS.
The secret was two stagehands pulling on them on the other side.

Today I saw the latest James Bond movie. It has the new guy, Daniel Craig, as Bond and he's good. Compared to the previous guy who tended to joke around sometimes, he is more tough and serious, and the movie has somewhat of a darker tone. Lots of action and violence, and no unrealistic secret gadgets like the other movies. A pretty good movie.

I heard that he want to make to do a gay love scene in the next James Bond movie to show that James Bond is indeed an every man kind of guy. I am sorry but the day they do a gay love scene in Jame Bond is the day I stop watching James Bond movies. PERIOD.

Re: OT: Movies You Have Seen Lately
Amen to that. Daniel Craig was pretty good. I would have liked the movie more if they had really treated it like how a 007 is created. But the man he met in the first scene already knew his name as Bond. I would have preferred it that he would have been a nameless section head and then given the name Bond to go with the 007 license. That would have been a good way of saying why there's been 5 or 6 guys using that 007 title with the name of James Bond over the past 40 years.

Didn't you know? The're all one person.
How do I know this? Well, I was passing an alley one day when I saw a swordfight...

Wrong crossover.
You should have said that he has an affection for jelly babies, always carrying some in his pocket, and his medical files say he has two hearts.

Re: OT: Movies You Have Seen Lately
Well, excuse me for not memorizing an actor from a series I've never had a chance to see!

Well your reference meant nothing to me but I know Baron's instantly.
Yes I guess it's an immortal, but only because I understood what Baron was getting at.
