Small Ships mod
I liked the idea of the mod,but it was unplayable.Problem was
the rock types were colonising gas giants. I fixed this and changed some things for balance. So It is now a working mod.
Originally made by Pax.Don't know if Pax is still around.I still play se4. I own se5 but don't like the interface.I'll
wait for it to mature a bit.So Here it is.regards.

Re: Small Ships mod
Updated the mod.Change weapon stats to stock and added the light Cruiser hull. Some of the organic weapons were jacked too high.regards.

Re: Small Ships mod
"Mature"? So what'd the point of forcing people to use tiny ships?

Re: Small Ships mod
It was fun to play with ships that you could not fit any and everything in. It forced choises on you during ship design that you just don't have to make with bigger ships.
I originaly played in the game that started this mod. We were limited to Frigates. I see small has gotten bigger to Light Cruisers now. Pretty big small ships....

Re: Small Ships mod
I guess I'm too much of a fan of building Massive Dreadnauts of Doom, and sending one to take over enemy space.

Re: Small Ships mod
Yeah... I've discovered that fleets of small ships tend to get picked off one by one very easily.

Re: Small Ships mod
The ai builds lots of ships .You get fleets of frigates coming at you like 20 of them. The ship construction scales to the heavy destroyer= battle cruiser in research level. The weight of most weapons are reduced so you can load up a bit.Otherwise
try it out and tell us your views.regards.
