				 Do Mercenaries replenish their ranks?
If I hired a mercenary that had 30 units, and at the end of their employment, they were down to say, 15, do they get restore their numbers at some point?
I noticed that if I hire a mercenary group more than once, they will have the same amount of units that were left after the first hiring. So does that mean a mercenary group can be entirely defeated and removed from the game?

 Nope.
Generally I run my mercs into the ground so that when they go back into the hiring pool they've got no men.

From personal experience: No, never. Not even when you terminate the contract and they vanish - you won't see them again. |

The one thing you will bang your head on the wall about is when your mercenary commander dies, but you win the battle. The troops WILL stay in the garrison, but they will refuse to move... (and I think they get removed from the list, but I'm not sure) |

I think that may only happen only if the commander dies and the mercenaries rout. Typically when the commander dies, the mercs just disappear, which is sad if you've just renewed their contract.

The left behind mercenaries are still free guards for that province. |

As long as there is a PD commander, will they fight? Or do you need a real commander in the province too, to stop them from immediately fleeing?
