Default Newbie Q: Screen size ?

Newbie alert !

I've downloaded the demo and it looks great.
But I'm running in 1100x850 (something), and the screen display doesnt expand to cover the screen, I get a black band around everything.

In 1024x768 it covers the whole screen. Is there any way I can get a bigger screen "estate" on the higher resolution ?

Win98, DirectX8.1, 19" monitor.

TIA
Huggis

Newbie Ditto on that. I have the same issue, only I'm running 1280x1024.

The graphics run in either 800x600 or 1024x768. Any excess space is left black.

I guess its just because those two sizes provide neat arrangements of the game windows.

Another reason for only having two resolutions set up is that they use different graphics for each resolution; so, adding support for the higher resolutions will increase the number of graphics to be created & stored.

Besides, most people consider the 1024 X 768 to be a high-enough resolution, especially on smaller monitors. Even at home on my 21-inch monitor I only use 1024 X 768.

Now, if those of you using higher resolutions are willing to help create the required graphics, maybe Aaron would be willing to add support for the higher resolutions...
