Vista?

Does Land of Legends work in Vista? After reading Game Tunnel's Top 100 article, I decided to give Land of Legends a try, and I downloaded the demo onto my Vista machine. However, no matter what I do, the demo always hangs on the inital loading screen. The loading bar crawls up about 1/4 of the way, and then it just sits there. I've let it sit there for 10 minutes. Nothing happens. Is this a Vista issue? If so, how do I get around it?

Unfortunately we've found that Vista breaks .NET 1.1/Managed DirectX games like Land of Legends. While I wish I had something better to tell you, this is a simple case of Microsoft's new OS not supporting one of Microsoft's own development platforms.

So much to my regret, I'm forced to say that Vista is an unsupported platform for Land of Legends.

If you have an XP machine sitting around somewhere, however, that should work just fine.
