Sea of Ice
So I'm in an SP game and I've been trying to deal with Oceania. They had a substantial land force and they kept reinforcing it with amphibious units so I figured casting sea of ice would allow me to take the land provinces without much trouble.
However, even after I cast it Oceania is still moving units from sea provinces to land provinces. He's attacked several of my land provinces that border only water provinces. Am I missing something? I thought the spell stopped movement from water to land and vice versa.

Re: Sea of Ice
Are you sure that the Sea of Ice global is still in operation? The AI does not dispel globals, but it is definitely not adverse to casting them. And since there can be only 5 globals in operation at any time, subsequent globals can bring down preexisting globals. I.e. the AI may have overridden the Sea of Ice with something else.

Re: Sea of Ice
I know that the AI simply ignores units that have mapmove 0 and will move them as normal. Maybe they ignore the sea of ice in the same way?

Err... what? I haven't seen any Sphinxes or Monoliths moving in any of my games.

Re: Sea of Ice
I was reading somewhere else that the AI was moving around the priest level 2-3 statues like this.

The sphinx has a special tag beyond 0 map movement.
Monoliths can be teleported around the map using certain spells.
Any unit that is just flagged with 0 map movement CAN move around the map if the AI is controlling the nation.

Re: Sea of Ice
That's news to me. What kind of units does this affect? Treelords? Watchers?
