Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open
I am just waiting for 2 players to send me their nation choices (originally, I thought it was just one). Then I will be able to announce the nation assignments.
I expect that we will start the game next weekend so players will have a bit of time to prepare their pretenders and test things.

				 Mods
Wraithlord sent me the following comment yesterday in connection with the RAND game, and I thought it would be best to offer this up to you all, in case players decide to play Vanilla instead (the RAND game would use the same mods as this game):

"I ran a short test game with the said mods and of a few battles one
actually gave different battle results than seen in battle replay. I'm
not really sure what to make of it."

Wraithlord was not sure if the same problem would result in 3.10 Vanilla. Does anybody else have thoughts or similar experiences?

I'll shoot to make a decision by tonight re whether to stay with the current mod set.

If vanilla, you need one of the hotfixes mods. |

				 Re: Mods
what mods is wraithlord referring to? I can't run the old CB mod w/ 3.10 w/out it erroring out (nagot glick fell). The differing battle reports is an old issue, and there seem to be a number of things that could cause it. Personally, it doesn't bother me - an inspection of the troops will show you what is left, and the battle it does show is an equally valid and informative possibility |

				 Re: Mods
We'd be using the following mods, according to my current plan:
 CB Scales Mod
 CB Pretender Mod
 Worthy Heroes Mod 1.8
 and
Endoperez's Quickfix mod for Dom 3.10 (It fixes Late Pythium's sacred-hydra issue and an issue with Tien Chi.)

The complete CB mod needed to be fixed. IIRC, this was because of spelling chanages in Dom 3.10. I have a fixed version of the the full CB mod, but I don't think the errors were an issue in the Scales and Pretender mods. Correct me if I am wrong. (I'll try to do some tests when I get home.)

				 Re: Mods
I am now thinking that we can stick with the current mod set without great risk. Please see the dicussion in the RAND thread.
Let me know if you have any strong concerns.

				 Re: Mods
Looking forward to you well-packaged zip file of all the mods so I do not have to search for them myself. I am so lazy ...
