Even if they horrors do normally keep their afflictions, all shape-changing units have a chance to lose an affliction when they automatically change shape. The nastiest horrors have multiple forms.

No killing. Just blind him and do something until he routs.
At least I hope he routs. Earlier I wrote about the vengeance of the dead hordes who dont die so its your SK who dies because of the turns limit.

I'm pretty sure Horrors have the tag that makes them see even when blinded/when their eyes are plugged out.

Unique units that are killed and respawn through event have the same chance of losing afflictions as units changing from secondshape back to firstshape, so a horror killed when blind could return with its sight restored. At least one horror has both DV 100 and the blind attribute that makes it discard eye injuries.
