Artillery 15.5cm K39
I notice that the 15.5cm K39 isn't in the GE OOB 16 v2.5. Was this intentional? I play PG2 a lot (AK 4000 Equipment lists). WinSPWW2 does have a different 15cm gun introduced in Jan '42 (15.2 K433) which is in the K series. Due to the lack of unit space left, I wouln't think it reasonable to add it to the OOB. Possibly the 15.2cm K433 introduction date could be extended to that of the 15.5cm K39 if the units are similar enough in specs? Yes, I know how to do that myself. Anyone know the available dates for the 15.5cm K39? specs (as would be used in WinSPWWII)? TIA Starmyth

Re: Artillery 15.5cm K39
If you think the French 155mm gun, it's there as 15.5cm K419(f); weapon 110. Udes by unit 330, 15.5cm Batterie, 1/41 to 12/46.
Only K39 I was able to find was Skoda 21 cm gun and German 15 cm, however for already crowded German OOB it most likely made sense to lump K39 and K419 into one weapon.

Re: Artillery 15.5cm K39
GE OOB 16 v2.5
Weapon 110 15.5cm K 419(f)
used by unit 330 15.5cm Batterie
avail: Jan 41 thru Dec 46
Weapon 111 15.2cm K 433(r)
used by unit 319 15.2cm FK Btr
avail: Jan 42 thru Dec 46
Both of these are listed in the OOB. I have found a reference to the K419 and K433 in the Encyclopedia (finally). The K419 is listed as standard artillery (neither light nor heavy) whereas the K433 is listed as heavy.
The first time I see the 15.5 cm K39 available in PG2 (AK4000) is Apr of 40. I am definitely not indicating that PG2 (AK 4000) is mure accurate. If the 15.5cm K39 was really available earlier then I will change my OOB for the K419 available date. That should be close enough.

Re: Artillery 15.5cm K39
Hmmm, I could still use the dates the 15.5cm K39 was available. I don't have any reference books. Nor have I been able to find anything on the internet. TIA

Re: Artillery 15.5cm K39
nothing on the 15.5 cm K39, but if you look at the production tables of german arty from feldgrau.com , there's a 15cm K39 referenced. AFAIK, 155mm wasn't a standard german caliber, i.e., no weapons used in that caliber were of german production.
hope this clarifies things somewhat.

Re: Artillery 15.5cm K39
150mm K.39 15 11 25 13 production quantity feldgrau.com
Year 39 40 41 42
That helps, but doesn't say when they were available. They certainly didn't make a lot of them.
