				 Retreating Fighters?
I scanned the forums to find the answer to this one, but it might be slightly different than previously addressed issues.
I have a fighter group of about 210 fighters, a mix of rocket designs and beam designs. They're fully supplied and ordinance. They have no orders. When I move them to attack an enemy fleet, they retreat instantly. Oddly, at one point I tried removing 5 random fighters from the group, and then the remaining task force did attack.

 Any thoughts?

might those 5 fighters have a strategy of "don't get hurt"? |

I don't believe so, as all of my fighter designs have a strategy of Fighter Attack. How do I change the strategy of a fighter group/fleet?

You could place the fighters into a fleet and give them all the same orders via fleet strategy, however stock strategies sometimes have "break formation" as standard. You need to make a copy of the strategy via the empire options tag and tell "break formation" to be false. Then the fighters will all stick to the one strategy. |

Barronosod, can you attach your savegame here? If you can/do, someone can look at it and tell you straight away what the cause is. |

Sounds good to me. How do I attach the game to the post? I assume it's the .gam file?
 Thanks all

When you post, make sure the checkbox "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file" is checked. Then you'll get an option to upload a file.

I suggest zipping up all of the savegame files, except maybe the .cmb if it is too large (more than 1/2 MB or so)

				 Re: Retreating Fighters?
Thanks again everyone. The Fighters in question are at -10,1 in the Terebellum system. Again, even when fully supplied/ord. they'll attack single targets, but not the enemy fleet of 44 ships.

Also, I'm using the latest Unnamed's Upgraded AI with FQM mod. Currently player 7, the Sishril.
