Temples/Labs vs 1st turn seige
Wondering about the following situation:
I control a province with a Fortress and I have ordered a Priest to 'Build Temple'. High probability that a big bad will invade the province and invest the Fortress this turn as well.
Will the Temple get built if I lose the Province fight, but retain control of the Fortress? I know that an existing Temple is not razed until the Fortress falls; so by the same logic (Temple inside the Fortress) the Temple would be built.
But can't go by logic when it is a coded result...
Same basic question would apply to a Lab being built.

Re: Temples/Labs vs 1st turn seige
I think what StormCrow want to know is whether combat take place before or after construction upon resolution of a turn.
If it's after, then the temple will be built and safe inside the fort as Torin said. If it's before, then the priest will not be able to build the temple because it will be in a besieged fortress. I think it's after: a few time I attacked a province without fort and ended up sieging a newly built fort finished that very turn.
Could anyone confirm ?

Re: Temples/Labs vs 1st turn seige
Well, it's not exactly clear what should happen in this situation. Since you can't give orders to build a temple when you are under siege, you might not be able to complete a temple that was ordered to be built in the turn where you are about to become sieged. (In a province where you already have a fort.)
I tested this scenario to see what would happen: the temple will be built inside your fort. So even though construction occurs after all battles, your people were able to finish building the temple inside the fort, with trees they chopped down before your province got invaded . Tree-chopping happens before combat, it is undocumented turn resolution sequence 2.b Tree Chopping. (joke)
Here's a link to a Battle Simulator map useful for testing this sort of thing, from Gandalf Parker:

Thanks for taking a look! And for the testing site. I'll make a note of it.
In my particular situation the big bad went elsewhere so my Temple was built in peace.

Re: Temples/Labs vs 1st turn seige
Another siege related question...
I stormed a castle yet my reinforcements in an adjacent province did not appear for the storming but did appear in the province *after* the storming. Don't have my manual here but I thought they would help the storming.
Also, if I lost the storming would they have "re-stormed" the same turn?

They did not have a storm command, they were just moving. The reinforcements
would have helped fight off a sally, but they would have had to wait for the
next turn if they wanted to storm. A 'move and storm' command would be
extremely useful, and as such, balance changing.

Next turn at the very earliest.

Speak for yourself. My Goddess's temples are built with the finest marble.

On the bright side, if you lose the castle storm, the reinforcements will hold the province for you rather than it revert to the defender.

Re: Temples/Labs vs 1st turn seige
The only way I know to get troops into the castle itself to reinforce is on the turn they are storming, if you cloud trapeze in some commanders they will manage to also fight in it. I have done this with the Sidhe lord several times.
