Bump in Appreciation of Gandalf Parker
Apparently some bozo has ruined Gandalf Parker's day by sending him nasty email over his server crash. Let's drown out this nattering nabob of negativity with a chorus of appreciation for a guy who's services to our community are so numerous and well known that they need not even be enumerated.
Mr. Parker is a much better wizard than that guy in the book.

Sorry you got a nasty email Gandalf - there are a lot of short sight individuals out there. Your contributions to the community are definitely appreciated!

Yeah, got a sour taste in my mouth when read about that message. GP has done a lot and big kudos to him for that.
(...even if I just realized I actually don't know what "kudos" means in english...)

"There are no gods but Illwinter, and Gandalf is their prophet." You've always been the embodiment of the Dominion community spirit Gandalf -- don't let some changeling and deildergast annoy you.

Re: Bump in Appreciation of Gandalf Parker
Seriously folks.. Gandalf has done more for this community than 99.9999% of any of us.
Whomever it is they shall be playing only single player games if their name gets out.

Re: Bump in Appreciation of Gandalf Parker
what kind of doosh would do something like that?
it's people like Gandalf that make Dom3 a worthwhile game. without people like him putting in the amounts of personal effort and time that it takes to even create the servers that this game and community depend upon, there would be no Dom3.

Re: Bump in Appreciation of Gandalf Parker
Well, it wasn't me. I have had a game go down due to Gandalf's hardware problems recently. But I have offered nothing but encouragement. I think he needs money instead of encouragement, but I have little of that.

Re: Bump in Appreciation of Gandalf Parker
While it's certainly a nice gesture to start a praising thread, I'm confident that Gandalf Parker has been around long enoguh to know that you can't let a single moron ruin your day
This especially goes for said morons with an Internet connection
Still, there's no question that GP's contibution to strategy gaming is highly appreciated. He's very polite, helpful and patient, and the reason I'm now playing Dominions 3 till 2AM several nights every week
Which server did he loose? Couldn't find the thread
