Quick q: Possible to have unit increase luckscale?
I am going to make a Firebird, which will be a unique, though not especially powerful unit. The Firebird was seen as a bringer of great good fortune. I know I can have him act as a fortune teller to prevent bad events, but does anyone know if it is possible to have him increase the luck scale of the province he's in? I know the Lady of Luck has this property, but if I copy her will it make my Firebird a pretender? Does anyone know of any other units with this property?
Ideally the unit in question would also have a strong heat aura, but I guess that's pretty unlikely! I wish heat auras were more properly moddable.

Yes, it would make the firebird a pretender available in the selection. Check the DB, I think there might have been some other units that increased some scales, like magic. Not sure if there were other luck units. Those entries would be in the specials column.

Re: Quick q: Possible to have unit increase lucksc
Brilliant, thanks Edi. It turns out there are three pretenders (Lady of Luck, Lady of Fortune and Lord of Plenty I think) but no non-pretenders who increase luck. So I guess it's probably not doable (I assume I can't strip the pretender-ness in any way?).
By the way, I had forgotten how huge the DB is. It's just _vast_. I am in awe of the hours that must have gone into it.

Ooh, could I make him a specific pretender for a non-existing nation?

Have you considered using unit 1946? Edi's database doesn't list it, but Kristoffer has said it's at least supposed to have a small chance of generating good events. Here, have a screenshot:

Oh no! I've been beaten by KO! And I was so pleased with myself for researching the firebird as well.

Maybe I will do something like the Mother of Firebirds or something. Mine was going to be a bit bigger and more powerful than KO's. Although KO's is probably more thematically accurate.

I almost feel sorry for you. Still, better this way than AFTER you released the mod, right?
Also, there isn't huge, fiery Phoenix either. Firebird/Phoenix creature with various themed abilities could fit well with the other summons, and fire could really use something.
